| Let’s look at this powerful story in the Gospel of John 8:3-11, about a woman caught in adultery , seen by witnesses, and thus legally according to the strict letter of the law (Torah), (Leviticus 20:10) deserving the death sentence by stoning her to death. Jesus doesn’t speak or argue with the questioners, but stoops down and begin to write in the dust with his finger. What is happening? In the Hebraic context, many things are suggested. | |
